Seemed to be plenty of on-site parking (costing £20 for 24hrs). Location is just a very short walk to the airport. Very comfortable. We ate at their Frattello's Restaurant. Not too badly priced. The young woman taking our order there was really good. What stood out as a pleasant rarity was that whenever it came to pay for anything (front desk, bar, restaurant) there was no instant grabbing for the card machine, they always asked if we'd like to pay cash or card first. From a big group like this it's really refreshing.

Had an absolute amazing stay. We only live half an hour from the airport but as our flight was at 6am I thought be best to stay the night before so no stress. Check in wss lovely and the warm cookies on arrival was a lovely touch. Lovely big room and bathroom and loved the full length mirror with lights to get a good view. The corridors with seats to watch the runway was absolutely amazing and got us extremely excited for our holidays. Bed was so comfortable as was pillows. Restaurant prices a bit steep but enjoyable. Will definitely stay again

Aeroplanes Airport carpet firm bed warm cookie nice shower thick curtains.break fast is as early as 4.30am !!its variety food .i paid night before.got a card to just give lady at desk in morning .there's fridge and iron and board it was quiet 12pm check out feels less rushed .phone for room service .and laundry opportunities but i didnt use them.lighting is nice can see some taxiway and runway from bridge across the two parts building .chair is nice just right for me that arm chair .desk was solid.theresstorage space cupboards lots drawers .curtain are black out curtains certainly in my room .its very close to Air port like two minuteswalk away.just across pedestrian crossing .i loved lighting in my room.

DoubleTree by Hilton was very close to certain place in Newcastle Eg The metro centre was 15 mins away and the angel of the north 25 minutes down the A1. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and really really pleasant. Felt very safe and a lovely welcome and goodbye every time we went out of the hotel. The beds were unbelievably comfortable clean rooms and the housekeeping staff always made sure we had enough clean towels too!

The location is fab!!!!! 2 min walk from airport eve less i dont know why it says on booking 1 km or something. Its zero distance The chcek in was less than a second didnt even want to see passports Understood that we just wanna go to sleep The surrounding was beautiful I was looking for mineral water to buy and they handed me 3 bottles for free The room is big The shower room lovely decor Many soapes types Bed was super comfy The elavator was beautiful Check out at 12 brilliant The staff was super super super nice We asked for adaptors and got 2 for the night so fast and easy Cookies and hot chovlate at room was amazing add on!we enjoyed it!!! Thank you!!

I found the location easy to reach from the centre of Newcastle as I was travelling on public transport, there was a regular Metro service to and from Newcastle City centre to the Airport and the hotel was just a short walk across the road. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable with all the facilities you needed like tea and coffee and a kettle, large screen tv and a small fridge. The bed was firm but comfortable and I slept well both nights.

A stone throw away from the airport, ideal location! You can always count on DoubleTree to be exactly what you need it to be. Exceptionally clean and comfortable, with warm and welcoming staff. A far cry from the jail like hotel across the road that we immediately left after circling our room once, it was the biggest sigh of relief to walk into the immaculate Hilton DoubleTree lobby alone and be greeted by the lovely staff on reception

The staff was very helpful and friendly and arranged an early check-in for us. The warm chocolate chip cookie for Easter was a lovely touch. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, and there is an excellent restaurant on site. The location was perfect for our early morning flight, as the hotel is 2 minutes walk from check-in. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We always enjoy our stay at the double tree . We used it a couple times in the year . This visit was good but not excellent as it normally is .
